White Kaolin clay, Bentonite clay, Rosa Canina* (Rosehip powder), Aloe barbadensis* (Aloe Vera powder) *organic ingredient

+ Directions +

Mix 1 tablespoon of powder with equal parts spring water (or floral water/witch hazel/apple cider vinegar) with a wooden spoon until smooth paste forms. Leave on for 10 mins, or less (don't wait for mask to become dry or cracked!) Remove with warm water/wash cloth.

A test patch is suggested before proper use. Clay masks can cause a slight tingling sensation, but should never be painful. If you experience burning or stinging, remove immediately.

Slight inflammation is not uncommmon after a mask, and will fade after 30 minutes. The extra rush of blood to the surface of the skin flushes away toxins and dead cells, improving new cell growth.

Is your skin a little too irritated post treatment? Here's  some possible reasons why:

  • Leaving the mask on for too long? Do not wait for mask to become hard and cracked. This can be harmful to the skin. Once you start to see changes in the mask colour, this means that it's beginning to dry and time to remove. Depending on how thick your mixture is and how much you apply will obviously determine treatment time.

  • Perhaps your skin needs an acidic medium, such as Rose Water or Apple Cider Vinegar added to the clay mixture, to neutralise the alkalinity of the water. Please avoid harsh tap water.

  • You may simply be allergic to the ingredients. This is why a patch test is highly recommended :)
