  •  VALERIAN ROOT (valeriana officinalis)

A tall flowering plant, known as “nature's Valium”. The volatile oils + compounds found in Valerian root produce a mild sedative effect, helping to improve sleep quality, sleep latency + dream recall. Certain constituents within the root also help inhibit activity in the central nervous system, assisting with the reduction of anxiety, stress + creating an overall calming effect.

  •  CHAMOMILE (Matricaria chamomilla)

The flowers of the chamomile plant have been use as an effective herbal remedy for an array of medicinal uses for centuries. Containing chemicals called flavonoids, which are essentially a type of nutrient found in plants, they play a significant role in chamomile’s medicinal effects. One of these flavonoids, Apigenin, has been shown to produce anti-anxtiety + mild sedative effects, due to its ability to bind to benzodiazepine receptors in the brain. This provides a sense of calmness, mild sedation + a more peaceful slumber.

  • MUGWORT (Artemisia vulgaris)

The Mother of herbs.  A mystical, visionary plant that gets her name from Artemis, the Greek Goddess of the moon. This magickal herb is particularly wonderful for dreamwork, enhancing texture, complexity + recall - helping to integrate multi-dimensional consciousness with our daily lives. When used with certain practices, such as intention setting before sleep, visualization or meditation, she enhances the receptive quality of the psyche + keeps us protected in the process too. Whilst she most likely won’t make you an instant lucid dreamer (being consciously aware that you are dreaming while you are in the dream) with the right practices in place, the most transformative of journeys are bound to unfold. And worth noting, those who are pregnant should stay clear of mugwort.  She increases blood flow to the pelvic area + can cause miscarriage.

  •  PASSION FLOWER (Passiflora incarnata)

A vibrant blossoming vine, commonly used as a nerve tonic - a reliever of overwhelm, anxiety + panic. A calming remedy that also works as a gentle sedative + increaser of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels, a chemical the brain makes to help regulate mood. One study in rats found that Passion Flower significantly increased slow-wave (deep) sleep, reduced rapid eye movement + helped sleep come much more quickly. With regard to it’s energetic + spiritual properties, passion flower attunes the mind to higher frequencies, allowing the nervous system to receive the subtle stream of wisdom + guidance available from the higher realms. And in the words Gurudas (through trance channeler Kevin Ryerson) “The energies associated with clairvoyance, heightened spiritual states, greater awareness, channeling and even peak experiences of a religious nature take place much more easily with passion flower. “

  • Alkaline Water
  • Vodka (extraction method)
