A multi-purpose botanical ritual for both scalp + strands.
Inspired by the Nordic forest, Forest Crown is a deeply nourishing botanical hair oil handcrafted to condition the scalp, stimulate growth, soften dry + weathered ends and restore natural shine.
At its heart, botanical extracts of wildcrafted Norway spruce, birch, nettle, horsetail + rosemary, blended with nourishing jojoba, oat, apricot + castor oils. Finished with an aromatic forest blend of Black Spruce, Cedarwood + Rosemary essential oils, Forest Crown smells green, woody + herbaceous, bringing a little of the forest into your everyday hair ritual.

THE 4 FOREST CROWN RITUALS
There is no single way to use Forest Crown. Choose your ritual according to what your hair needs that day...
01 · THE CROWN
Pre-Wash Scalp Ritual to stimulate hair growth
Part the hair in sections and apply Forest Crown directly to the scalp. Massage slowly with your fingertips, working the oil across the crown. You may experience a tingle sensation which is perfectly normal, however wash away + discontinue if irritation occurs.
Leave for at least 30 minutes before washing, then shampoo thoroughly.
As a starting guide:
🌿Fine hair: around ½ pipette
🌿Medium hair: around 1 pipette
🌿Thick, dense or very dry hair: around 1–2 pipettes
You don't need to completely saturate the scalp. Begin with less and add more only where needed. Do not use on broken skin.
FOREST CROWN TIP: Depending on your hair type and the amount used, you may find that two shampoos are needed to fully remove the oil.

02 · THE OVERNIGHT
Deeper Scalp + Hair Ritual
For a more intensive ritual, massage Forest Crown into the scalp and work through ends before bed and leave overnight. You may experience a tingle sensation, wash away + discontinue if irritation occurs. Do not use on broken skin
Wash thoroughly the following morning.
Protect your pillow with a towel or wrap your hair before sleeping, and remember that more oil doesn't necessarily mean a better treatment. You want the hair beautifully coated, not swimming in it.

03 · THE LENGTHS
Pre-Wash Hair Treatment
For hair that feels particularly dry, dull or weathered, Forest Crown can be used through the mid-lengths + ends without concentrating on the scalp.
Warm a small amount between your palms and gently work through dry hair, paying particular attention to thirsty ends.
Leave for 30 minutes or longer, then wash as usual.
This is a lovely ritual after periods of sun, wind, swimming, central heating or simply whenever the lengths are feeling a little parched.
04 · THE ENDS
Leave-In Finishing Ritual
Forest Crown can also be used in tiny amounts as a leave-in oil.
Place just 1–3 drops into your palm, rub your hands together until only a whisper of oil remains, then lightly smooth over the mid-lengths + ends.
Use on damp or completely dry hair to soften the appearance of dry ends, tame flyaways + add a little natural-looking shine.
For fine hair, begin with one drop.
For medium or thicker hair, begin with two or three drops, adding more only if needed.
A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY.
This ritual is deliberately different from the pre-wash treatments. You are not trying to saturate the hair. Think fingertips rather than pipette.
A FEW FOREST CROWN TIPS
START SMALL.
Particularly when using Forest Crown as a finishing oil. You can always add another drop; removing six enthusiastic drops from freshly washed fine hair is rather less convenient ;)
DOUBLE WASH WHEN NEEDED.
After a scalp or overnight treatment, two shampoos may be needed. This is completely normal when working with botanical oils.
APPLY TO DRY OR DAMP ENDS.
For the finishing ritual, experiment with both. Damp hair can help distribute a tiny amount through the ends, while application to completely dry hair is wonderful when they need smoothing + shine between washes.
ADJUST TO YOUR HAIR.
Fine, straight hair will generally need considerably less than thick, curly, coarse or very dry hair. The amounts above are starting points rather than rules.
** BEFORE YOUR RITUAL**
As with all botanical + essential oil preparations, patch testing is always recommended, particularly for those with sensitive skin. Rub a drop on back of neck 24 hours before first use and observe any reaction.
You may notice a warming or tingling sensation from the naturally occurring aromatic compounds within the essential oils, particularly rosemary. This can be perfectly normal + may be more noticeable for some than others.
If irritation or burning sensation occurs, simply wash away + discontinue use.
